Alternating the flow / current of the river have been an practice that human beings been employing for centuries.
There is an awkwardly discontinued pavement located at the end of the C. San Roque, 30540 Blanca, Murcia, Spain. The ending direction of the pavement pointed right into the Segura River. According to the White Orchard heritage (Patrimonio de la Huerta de Blanca) website, the groves of the two banks of the Segura River have been irrigated by different hydraulic systems that have drained it since the Andalusian period (Middle Ages).
The direction of the unfinished pavement suggested a connection. For this project the artist picked up rocks near the Segura River, stood at the ending part of the pavement and threw those rocks into the water, with an intention to build a bridge that connect to the opposite side. The concept of feasibility challenges the Sisyphean action; and this work questions the idea of time, limitation, geographical isolation and allow local citizens to rethink the possibilities of their habitat.
