Ink on papers, 33 x 33cm each
It is always fascinating to consider how words play a role in our understanding of the surroundings across different cultures, and with each others. This work is an attempt for the artist to “write” the landscape of Blanca in ancient Chinese clerical script. And through combining the view of the landscape in Blanca and the calligraphic experimentations, it encourages non-Chinese-characters reading viewers to explore the linkages between the Chinese characters, Chinese calligraphy art and the surrounding natural environment in Blanca.
